Description

Take time to relax, write, and connect with other passionate creators.

This springtime retreat offers writers time and space to work on their chosen writing project in an inspiring and supportive setting. Writers will be encouraged to dive deeply and joyfully into their creative process.

Writing sessions will take place in the mornings and some afternoons, with the option to work at a personal pace and place; each room is fitted with a writing desk and there are many places to work around the property.

Each writer will receive a private story coaching session with April. In addition to a few lessons on story craft, attention will be given to cultivating and maintaining a meaningful writer’s life.

The retreat is open to all writers working on any type of project, though it’s particularly suited to those with an interest in writing novels, screenplays, or memoirs.

In the spirit of creating a safe, encouraging environment for writers to deepen their process and make progress on their individual projects, works-in-progress will not be shared or critiqued in a group setting. One evening may be devoted to author readings, but participation will be optional.

This retreat seeks to provide a nurturing atmosphere for dedicated writers who are: ready to refine their connection to the creative process; open to having creative conversations with other writers; and longing for a break from their usual routine and a breakthrough in their writing process.

Saturday, July 4th to Saturday, July 11th, 2020
